Yes- you heard it correctly.
Broccoli is one of my favorite foods. These days you can get the "flower" nicely cut in a bag ready to go into a steamer, or microwave, or wok. I say- whatever method you like to cook it is fine. You ask me? I put it into a Sous VIde at 180 degrees for one hour.
The Sauce:
This is the really fun stuff:
One stick of butter 1/2 cup
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
3 tablespoons of soy sauce (I've never measured it)
2 teaspoons of white vinegar
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
Put the sauce pan on a medium heat and add the butter. Once the butter is melted add the garlic for about a minute. Then add the brown sugar until it is fully incorporated. Add the sauce and then finally the vinegar.
Once it is nicely together place over the broccoli.
Add some chopped cashews and you have a great dish.
