First a bit of the how-to. When you have the Asparagus- hold it by the butt end and half way up the stalk cut off the woody end-- you don't want that- you want the tender parts.
Roasting Asparagus is simple, easy and can be done in a variety of methods - this is one with a broiler
1 pound of asparagus
1-2 Tablespoon of olive oil (regular is all you need)
2 Tablespoons of minced garlic
Sea Salt
Pepper
1 lemon
Put the oven on broil and set the oven tray in the upper third of the oven
Lay the asparagus spears in a single layer on a foil covered raosting pan. Drizzle olive oil over the spears so they are covered -- go ahead and roll them or dip them if you like. Sprinkle with the garlic, and put on the sea salt with some pepper so it is distributed.
Broil until they are slightly brown or they are tender
Drizzle with the juice of a lemon
